Funding
The Innovation Center for Teaching and Learning provides a variety of ways in which you can receive funding for your professional development related activities. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Thompson at enkt@hawaii.edu.
Funding for Food/Lei for Training Events

On-Island or Online Training
Is there an online or on-island conference, class, workshop, or learning institute you would like to attend?
Apply for up to $500 in funds from the Innovation Center for Teaching and Learning.
- All active employees (faculty, staff, and lecturers that are teaching at least 1 credit this semester) are eligible to apply.
- Maximum award will be $500 per person (exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis).
- Employees will only be funded for one (1) professional development experience per academic year. Funds must be used by June 30.
- More than one employee can attend the same event.
- To be considered for funding, the evidence must show that the professional development clearly relates to the primary duties of your position at Leeward and supports your contributions to the college.
- Awardees will be expected to share knowledge gained from the experience either via a workshop, talk story session, infographic, division meeting, or other means to share lessons learned with colleagues.
